Farhiya Abdi is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with many years of clinical experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare to individuals and families across different ages. We are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being through a holistic approach to health. As a family medicine provider, we offer comprehensive primary care services for adolescents, adults, and older adults. Our practice focuses on preventive care, health promotion, disease prevention, and the diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic medical conditions.
We have extensive experience managing a wide range of chronic health conditions,
including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease, thyroid disorders,
asthma, COPD, obesity, and other complex medical concerns. We also provide treatment
for acute illnesses, including respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin
conditions, minor injuries, and other common health issues. Our goal is to partner with
patients to develop personalized care plans that support long-term health, disease
prevention, and improved quality of life.
In addition to primary care services, I perform a variety of in-office procedures and minor
surgical treatments, allowing patients to receive convenient, comprehensive care in one
setting. These services include incision and drainage (I&D) of abscesses, laceration
repair, skin tag removal, skin biopsies, wound care, and other minor office-based
procedures.
I strongly believe that family medicine is more than treating illness—it is about building
lasting relationships with patients and serving as a trusted healthcare partner
throughout every stage of life. I emphasize patient education, preventive care, and
healthy lifestyle choices to help patients make informed decisions about their health and
achieve their wellness goals.
In addition to primary care, we provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and
medication management for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood
disorders, insomnia, and other mental health conditions. Our dual certification allows us
to integrate physical and mental healthcare, recognizing the important connection
between emotional well-being and overall health. I am dedicated to treating the whole
person, not just a diagnosis. By combining family medicine and mental health expertise,
I strive to provide compassionate, individualized care in a supportive environment where
patients feel respected, heard, and empowered to take an active role in their healthcare
journey..
